Procurement in Europe
We procure our yarn products such as cotton, polyamide or viscose exclusively in Germany and Italy. The coating materials for cohesive and adhesive bandages come from Switzerland.

We have been cooperating with ENAW in terms of energy management since 2014. CO2 and energy-saving potentials are identified on an ongoing basis and specific reduction targets are agreed. The energy efficiency measures are reviewed annually for their effectiveness.
Investments in building insulation and heat recovery have reduced energy consumption by 18% and CO2 emissions by 33% since the start of the project.
The efficient use of resources and an established waste disposal concept enable us to continuously reduce both the amount of waste and the environmental burden.
The Wero Swiss Med Kft production plant in eastern Hungary can indeed best be described as a regional pioneer in environmental protection. Certification according to the globally recognised environmental management standard ISO 14001 is yet another important step towards so-called «Cleaner Production».
The EMS certificate is issued as a result of independent expert monitoring, which confirms the following:
- Wero Swiss Med Kft reduces environmental burden to a minimum
- Wero Swiss Med Kft pledges compliance with all statutory requirements
- Wero Swiss Med Kft continuously reviews and develops environmental performance

The «Swiss Awards» prize winners have been collecting relief supplies for poor countries for years. We support the projects in Indonesia, Kenya and Cuba with free bandages and masks.
One focus this year is on delivering aid to the Ukraine. Dozens of pallets with dressing materials help to alleviate the need somewhat. Read more about this in our news article.
